Top Carpets and Floors has achieved the prestigious AAA+ rating for Black Economic Empowerment from Empowerdex.
Culturally diverse membership and representative organisational structure
(40% of the Directorate are PDI) as well as an extensive training initiative,
are designed to keep the business at the forefront of the South African flooring
industry.
Top Carpets and Floors became a BEE company on 5 August 2004, at which time 25.1%
of our equity and 40%+ of our directorate and management posts were and are now held
by previously disadvantaged members.
Our BEE scorecard features a number of proud empowerment milestones:
- Ownership share of economic benefits = 26.2%
- Black persons in executive management and/or executive board = 40.0%
- 50% of total staff complement are employment equity individuals
- Skills development expenditure = 2.0% of total payroll
- 10.0% procurement from black-owned and empowered enterprises as a proportion of total procurement
- Enterprise development: 10.0% investment in black-owned and empowered enterprises as a proportion of total equity
- Black members comprise 20.0% of total membership
