| 1989 | Introduction of the Top Carpets brand. |
| 1990 | Top Carpets Group expands nationwide. |
| 2004 | Introduction of ceramics, paints and laminates. |
| 2005 | Top Carpets outlets number 100, located throughout South Africa. |
| 2007 | Top Floors International launched. |
| 2007 | Holding Company changes to Top Carpets and Floors |
| 2007 | Launch of Top Blinds |
| 2008 | Installation Excellence programme launched to all members, ensuring that Installation teams set industry leading standards. | 2008 | Top Carpets and Floors is registered with the CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board). Membership is testament to the business’s consistent delivery, capacity and quality. |
| 2009 | Top Carpets and Floors receives AAA+ BEE Accreditation from Empowerdex. |
Over the years, Top Carpets and Floors has pioneered a number of initiatives including:
- A 10 Day Colour Replacement Guarantee
- A sponsorship with Reach for Recovery - a breast cancer support group, which receives a percentage of sales of Van Dyck and Constantia Carpets.
- A focused insurance industry initiative which has resulted in the group becoming the leading supplier of replacement flooring.
- Mobile showrooms offering consumers the benefits of “Shopping-At-Home”.
